In geographical terms, Alibaug falls at the southern tip of Mumbai, on the narrow strip of Arabian Sea.. Earlier, one could reach here only through boat from Revas, Dharamtar and Mankule, since it was not connected by road. With advent of roadways, travel and tourism has blossomed in Alibaugh. It attracts a lot of tourists over the weekends and business conferences during the week.

Sun n Sea Beach Resort is approx 100 km via road ie a 3 hour distance from Mumbai. The resort is also accessible in about an hour by the combination of a catamaran / ferry from Gateway of India in south Mumbai and then by bus from Mandwa jetty, every 1/2 Hour across the bay. It is also accessible by road via Panvel in about an hour and a half (approx 80 km from Mumbai).

By Air : Mumbai and Pune are the nearest airport service from Alibaug. Mumbai is 108 km and Pune is 138 km by road. We recommend Mumbai airport if you choose to travel by Air.

By Rail: Nearest railway station from Alibaug is Panvel and Pen (Konkan Railways). Panvel is 60 km and Pen is just 28 km by road.

By Road : Alibaug is best connected to Mumbai, Borivali, Pune, Thane, Kalyan, Kolhapur, Nashik etc.by road. Maharashtra state transport (S.T.) Semi-luxury, luxury and ordinary buses are daily available for Alibaug. In additional to these, private taxis, luxury and semi luxury buses are also available.

By Sea : Alibaug is well connected to Mumbai by sea route also. Launches, catamaran service are available throughout the year except monsoon. Mumbai-Revas Jetty launches leave Ferry Wharf by appox. one hour duration. The journey takes one and half hour. The timetable of the launches depends upon the high and low tides. The same timetable is displayed at the Ferry Wharf for next eight days. The S.T. Stand is quite near to the Revas Jetty. Auto rickshaws are also available. The distance between Revas-Alibaug takes another forty five minutes.

Speed boats and catamaran service are also available from Gateway of India to Mandwa Jetty. Interharbour Catamarans Ferry Ltd., Maldar Catamarans & Ajantha Launches provides this service. To reach Mandwa these takes thirty five minutes to one hour depending on the type of boats. From Mandwa all these three companies carry passengers to Alibaug
